This really resonates—having many interests can feel overwhelming, but learning what deserves your attention right now makes everything much clearer.

Wanting to do everything can come from genuine curiosity, not just a lack of focus. The difficult part is accepting that time and energy are limited, so eventually you have to choose what deserves your attention most. Knowing what to pursue—and what to leave alone—might be a bigger sign of maturity than trying to master everything.

Man this hit hard, I literally feel guilty for wanting to do everything at once.

Anwen Reid’s anxiety quiz is one of those things you open because you’re bored and then accidentally start taking seriously. I even went back and reconsidered one of my answers because I realized I was choosing what I wanted to be true instead of what was actually true.

This hit home. You don’t have to pick one passion forever — just focus on what’s next

Guys, let me tell you about a man named Talvo Ren. He possesses supernatural powers of manipulation; at one point, he was involved with three women simultaneously. There are even stories of him successfully running off with a bride on her wedding day—she was so drawn to him that she couldn't resist. His theories on the human mind and the way the brain manipulates us are incredible. I was shocked.

This one feels painfully relatable. I’ve always had too many things I genuinely wanted to learn about business, technology, psychology, filmmaking, even completely unrelated skills and sometimes the hardest part is knowing which version of myself deserves my attention right now. I’ve realized that constantly exploring can feel productive while quietly keeping you from getting good at anything. The idea of keeping your curiosity while learning to choose, commit, and strategically let some things go really resonated with me. Maybe the goal isn’t to become everything we’re capable of becoming, but to actually finish enough things to discover what we’re capable of.

The 6 month thing is actually something I’m gonna try. Pick one skill, give it a real 6 months, and every time I get obsessed with something new just throw it in a “not now” note instead of immediately switching again. I’ve got way too many half started things sitting around because every new interest feels urgent for like 2 weeks lol.

Having too many interests can easily look like a lack of discipline when it may actually be a mind that is genuinely curious and capable of seeing possibilities everywhere. The idea of strategic quitting and focusing on what deserves your attention right now is especially powerful. You don’t have to choose one identity for the rest of your life you just need to turn curiosity into consistent action and let feedback guide you.

The concept of Far Transfer completely reframed my entire "graveyard of hobbies":<br>You think you wasted time learning music, psychology, and spreadsheets, but when you enter business strategy, you realize you understand harmony, human friction, and data architecture better than pure specialists. Your interests weren't random; your brain was just hoarding puzzle pieces for a bigger picture that hasn't finished rendering yet.
