You are a hero, captain Smit Machchhar. If he didn't fight until the end to delay the terrorist from taking control; even after being stabbed... Every single person on that plane was dead. That is the kind of pilot I'd want flying my plane, and hopefully he makes a full recovery

Yesterday’s incident was a deeply frightening and anxiety-filled moment for everyone on board and for their families watching from the ground. Yet, in the middle of such a terrifying situation, courage, professionalism and quick thinking made all the difference.<br>My deepest respect and appreciation to the Flydubai crew, the pilots, the off-duty crew members and the brave passengers who stepped forward when it mattered most. Their courage and presence of mind helped bring the aircraft safely to the ground in Tabuk, with everyone accounted for.<br>A special salute to Captain Smit Machchhar, whose reported bravery despite being seriously injured has been widely praised.<br>And once again, the UAE has shown the world its commitment to safety, professionalism and human life. 🇦🇪❤️<br>Respect to every hero who helped save lives yesterday.
