I called Jacob a cardboard box with abs.😂 But now that I learned more about his backstory, he really is just one missed opportunity after another. I also couldn’t help but notice that his voice actor really did put a lot of effort into his performance (especially in the loyalty mission).

Thank you for being vulnerable. The pedophile that groomed me was not able to be brought to justice. As you said, Jacob's mission hit me differently after going through the abuse. I hope your mom has found a semblance of peace, it's been tough for me but I won't let that bastard win.

I gotta admit, I romanced him because he felt like SUCH a stable, grounding presence for fem!shep (and I like that SHE was the one pursuing HIM). Then ME3 hit and the scream that I screamed.

The Thing about Jacob and Thane is Mass Effect 2 was originally going to have every companion have a rival like Miranda/Jack and Tali/Legion. It was cut because time and it felt forced

Intentional or otherwise, you know it's a mega fan of the games when the first line of the Jacob video is a reference to Miranda scolding Jacob for prematurely telling Shepard that they're Cerberus. "Ah, Jacob..."

Okay so, I'm black and I played the series for many years and never noticed the only black companion had all those stereotypes. Why didn't I? Because my Shepard is always a black guy 🤦🏿♂️🤣
