Hey, just wanted to say how proud I am of you!! It takes a lot of courage to speak your truth like that. No one walks in your shoes, and no one has the right to judge your story. Keep shining, keep talking!! I see you, and I’m cheering you on!!!

Wow. Do any women have respect for themselves or for other women anymore? I would NEVER DO THIS TO ANOTHER WOMAN!! Bad karma! And she has the nerve to complain about not being able to call him in the evenings or whenever she wants! SMH wheather they want to admit it or not that affair destroyed that family INCLUDING THE KIDS!! Actions have consequences. Does nobody have a conscience anymore? This makes me so sad!

Were you honest with your family? Did they know he was married? He is an EASY man & he will cheat again & again & lie.

Ive heard you say it was a very normal relationship. No, it wasn't. There is nothing "normal" about carrying on with a married man. You had to sneak around, he lied to be with you, you had all the fun without any of the responsibilities. Thats a fantasy, not normal life.
Sounds like you were successfully duped and used by a lying, married cheater for 5 years, and the fact that you loved him doesn't diminish that. I'm glad you learned your lesson, but to be unapologetic and blameless, even now, speaks volumes about your character, and credibility.
While you may be providing an opportunity for non judgmental discussion about affairs, i get the impression that cheating is being minimized and normalized simply because it happens all the time. No matter how much you try, you can't turn a pigs ear into a silk purse. Cheating is cheating. It's wrong on many levels and often causes real damage to real people and real families...thats what is happening all the time, by cheaters and their complicit side pieces.

I am a betrayed wife. And I can not explain the pain of finding out the affair of my husband. And the impact on my son. His mistress statement that she didn't want someone toi feel hurt. She didn't feel bad for finding her soul mate, the man of her dreams. She felt sorry, she hasn't met him 20years ago.
Soshe threatened my spose that if I comtinue to confront her with exposing her in front of her employer, she would tell Her Husband and He will tret me in entire different way. I would like to hear or read your comment on this.

It is absolutely not true that happy men in happy marriages don’t have affairs. You can listen to any of the therapist’s or “ affair experts” and they will tell you that plenty of men have affairs even with a happy marriage when that happens it’s because the married person is spending too much time around somebody of the opposite sex that they’re attracted to in the workplace at the gym, etc., and they end up letting that person in too close, I talking about their problems, their marriage issues at work, things that they should only be discussing with their spouse. It is absolutely disgusting for anyone to persue someone that is married regardless of the state of their marriage. Honestly the state of their marriage is no one’s business.

There is not one thing "honest" about an affair relationship. Not one thing. You chose a man who was ok lieing to his spouse. To assume you are so special that he wasn’t lieing to you too is amusing. If a man put half the effort into his marriage that he dumps into the wasted space of an affair, his marriage would be more fulfilling. But, he chose an "easy side piece" instead. Not better... just "easier" and THAT is all an affair really is. An easy escape from adulting. Because it lasted 5+ years only means you lost that much of your life, wasted on someone who was never going to choose "you" anyway. Its sad to see so many women who actually have so little self respect that they are okay with the crumbs being given to them. So glad you opened your eyes and dumped that liar.

I think it's ridiculous to entangle yourself with a married or committed person. He was the only one getting what he wanted. Meanwhile, he breadcrumbed you and his wife. He did love either of you. He only loved himself. Neither of you was enough for him. You best

I’m so sorry for you that you are getting all these negative comments. I am involved with someone who is now married, though when we started he wasn’t. I am in my early 60’s, never did this before, and quite honestly we did fall in love. That’s why I’m glad you started your channel. We need more of this open talk. While I know it’s wrong morally, I was cheated on in my 2nd marriage, which ended in divorce so no, I don’t feel bad. I do miss him often, and I’ve been wanting to end it, but I am glad that you are opening up acknowledging that these are relationships. It’s not just a hotel room with sex like most people think. It’s two people with a strong connection that are just trying to get through life’s tough times. Keep this up please, I subscribed and am glad to find a place where my feelings can be openly discussed.

What is happiness, though? And what does “having everything you need at home” actually mean?

If someone keeps looking for something new just because there are millions of other people out there—possibly younger, more attractive, more exciting—does that mean they were unhappy at home? Or does it sometimes mean they want novelty, attention, validation, adrenaline, or simply feel entitled to have whatever they want?

You cannot find some magical, permanent happiness in an affair. An affair can feel exciting precisely because it is an illusion—a secret, forbidden world where you don't have to deal with ordinary life. But eventually the affair ends, real life kicks in, and that illusion of happiness disappears.

And honestly, when you date a married man knowing he is married, I don't think you can simply put all the responsibility on the unhappy husband. He made his choices, but so did you.

So yes, I’m sorry, but from my perspective, you and your unhappy man were both home wreckers.
