  50 years ago I started investing my time, talent and a little bit of money fostering dogs.  It became a private hospital for other creatures too and the kids called me Momma Dolittle.  I rarely met anyone else that helped even a little.  It's so great to see all these happy animals who would still be stuck in he!! if not for these good people and I thank you. This brings back good memories.  I foster stray cats in my neighborhood these days and I try to get them all their shots, neutered and socialized.  We're a happy family of 8 adults and 5 kittens that are adoptable now!  It was suppose to be a CNR but when they were released, they came back to my house....  I love them all.

  Over 19 years ago, we adopted Jackson and Jasmine two adorable tabby kittens. They were both in the same cage together when we first saw them. Jasmine approached my wife first as she took her in her arms. Jackson quickly bolted through the cage door into my arms. Instant bonding. We were just starting to look for one cat not two after recently losing our cat Blackie. We were driving to another rescue center but kept thinking about Jackson. Of course, we changed directions back to the rescue and entered where they were. Again, they both jumped into our arms. I looked at my wife and said to her, "I don't see any reason not to take them both!" My wife was shocked. So we had Jasmine for 14 years until her kidneys failed. We just lost Jackson from old age. It was the best decision we ever made. Those two cats were so special to us both. We miss them dearly!

  Loved every single one of these sweethearts!  I could watch finally happy re-homed pets all day long. When I look at my much beloved little girl I think how lucky she is that she will never ever go through what some of these poor babies experienced in their lives. 🥰❤

  ALWAYS adopt two so they can talk to each other, play with each other, sleep next to each other, plot chartered accountancy together.  It is a rare cat that chooses to be a single-cat.   First rescue was 75 years ago. Uncountable since then. Nearly all live to happy 20 with good care. "Every cat is my cat".  Eye contact is the final contract.  We won't be separated after that.

  summer 2025, i adopted a puppy who was found in a local park. fed her regularly til her weight nearly doubled, and she grew &nbsp;8 inches in height! <br><br><br>what i’ve found of her genetic family is mostly purebred, so i guess some opportunistic breeding happened and the people decided they wanted purebred. did they surrender her or rehome her ? no. they dumped her. &nbsp;<br><br><br>got her healthy and she is now a playful, adoring, happy dingbat.
