The church's greatest threats don't come from outside. They never have. The golden calf was built inside the camp. Ananias and Sapphira were members. The Judaizers were circumcised believers. Arius was a presbyter. The pattern is unbroken across two thousand years — the most dangerous false teaching has always come from within. This episode names four movements operating inside Christianity right now: The Prosperity Gospel — faith as a formula, God as a vending machine, the minister as the primary financial beneficiary. Progressive Christianity — same Bible, same pulpit, systematically dismantled doctrines. "Did God actually say?" Same question. Better vocabulary. Hyper-Grace — grace that removes the need for repentance isn't the grace of Scripture. Titus 2:11–12 — grace trains. The New Apostolic Reformation — prophecies that don't come true, blame shifted to the victim, new revelation added alongside Scripture. And three tests you can apply to any teacher, podcast, book, or church: What does it do with Scripture? What does it do with Christ? What does it do with sin? The answer isn't just warnings. 2 Peter 1:5–7 — virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, love. Know the real thing so well that the counterfeit is immediately obvious.
