  The thing I like about Brightburn is... its a mirror of a mirror.<br>Goku&apos;s origin was a echo of Superman&apos;s.<br>The kid in Brightburn&apos;s turn feels more like a &quot;What if?&quot; of Goku not hitting his head, and being evil... folded back into the Superman mold.<br>It was filler, but we even have the idea of Goku&apos;s ship activating programming in him... just... it effected Gohan instead.

  I honestly think Homelander is the best Superman knockoff because he&apos;s unique. He doesn&apos;t have fancy alien origin. He&apos;s someone from Earth with an abusive past.

  Sentry is a Superman-like character but he&apos;s not evil. The Void part of The Sentry is evil, but Sentry himself is not evil.

  Sentry is not a Superman ripoff, he has completely different powers and prowess. Hyperion is the more suitable candidate.

  The Plutonian is what Homelander would be if his first few missions went right. Sure he’d be cool for a while but eventually would crack once his first mission goes wrong and people dont praise him. Because of his need to be loved he wouldn’t be able to stand anyone not loving him and eventually have a “nuclear plant” moment. Him becoming HOMELANDER is inevitable. He’s got deep psychological issues he needed to resolve before trying to be a “hero”
