  Fun fact: the producers of this film didn’t want Jeff Daniels to play Harry they had someone else lined up but Jim Carey pushed for Jeff to get the part,the producers didn’t want him to have it they only paid him 50k for his part,in contrast Jim Carey got paid 7 million for his part,they didn’t think jeff would accept it but he did,and imo this film wouldn’t be the same without Jeff playing Harry.

  I saw <i>Dumb and Dumber</i> opening Friday night. My cousin, I and the entire theater were in tears from laughter the whole film. When Lloyd hit Harry with the cane to the back of the knees, I was out of it.

  The guy who plays “Sea Bass” is Cam Neely, an NHL Hall of Famer &amp; the current president of the Boston Bruins. &nbsp;He was one of the best power forwards in hockey history. &nbsp;He was a legit ‘tough guy’. &nbsp;6’1” 220lbs, but also was a great scorer. &nbsp;He’s a legend &amp; he was a huge star in the NHL when this movie came out. <br><br>The directors are from New England &amp; are big fans of the sports teams there. &nbsp;So in a lot of their movies they cast pro athletes from the Boston area in small roles

  &quot;We landed on the moon&quot; &amp; the &quot;Big Gulp&quot; scene were both ad libs by Carrey. That means, for the lay person, &nbsp;he made them up on the spot &amp; no one else knew they were going to happen.

  For years, I didn&apos;t understand the &quot;Flo&quot; bit in the diner/restaurant. I still found it funny. I thought they were laughing because they were addressing someone they don&apos;t know by name because she has a name tag. I was way off.<br>Flo was a character on an American tv show called &quot;Alice&quot;, about some waitresses and a cook, running a diner. Flo had a catchphrase, &quot;Kiss my grits&quot;.
