China is so vast in terms of its railway network, and I really want to see him do more in China, especially the sleeper train to Lhasa

Wow. So glad you're covering China's High Speed Rail Network. I was in China for the 2nd time last week and I had a great time. Love riding their trains. Cheers from Philippines. :)

On Chinese trains, Chinese nationals use their ID cards as tickets on the automatic gates, while foreigners use their passports usually at manned gates.

Did this journey 2 years ago, just for the trip from HKG to Shenzhen (my hotel was very close to Futian station, so it made kind of sense). The guy at the ticket counter told me, I shouldn't book a train that leaves in less than 60 minutes. Result: Security was empty, so was immigration. I ended up waiting for ~50 minutes and "watching" half a dozen trains depart that I wasn't allowed to board^^

The prices are cheap, the trains are fast. But the airport-like stations are something I really don't want to be copied :D

its mind blowing how big these trains are. especially with the way first class is configured it is spacious in a way ive only ever seen on extreme luxury aircraft. ive seriously never seen a first class upgrade that good ever. and for 60 bucks canadian?? that puts every country in the world to shame

0:47 Kowloon City? You’re pretty far away from the area known as Kowloon City, but you’re deep within the urban areas of Kowloon.
