  I am from HK and I was amazed that you did your research and can tell the history of the places you went in your clips. But next time, don&apos;t book room in TST if you don&apos;t have the budget, try to stay further from city center and you will find some budget hotels. Or just book a hostel which is not located in TST. HK is small, you can travel anywhere less then 1hour and public transport is easy and convinent.

  To be honest, we locals in Hong Kong almost never go into Chungking Mansions. Just getting near the entrance, the smell already hits you — it totally puts you off. You really don’t feel like stepping inside.<br>Thanks for caring about Tai Po. I’ve been living there for 30 years, and this incident was honestly terrifying.<br>And yeah, you’re spot on — public toilets in Hong Kong are actually really nice.They’re just like the ones we have back home

  Even locals wouldn&apos;t go to Chungking Mansions in Tsim Sha Tsui. And even if you&apos;re looking to save money, there are other options; you don&apos;t need to go to Chungking Mansions. It is indeed a bit scary.
