I like the irony that the only apparent remnant of the player character's identity, a nostalgic melody, actually belongs to the villain who used it flippantly as a test of his experiment. It's similar to the anticlimactic reveal of the player character's past identity.

I love that kind of awkward mix of 3d models on pre-rendered backgrounds. Reminds me a lot of Time Commando, that one where you dropkick sabre tooth tigers

90s indie game studios were wild. touching on some of the deepest philosophy. The gritty cybernetic and transhumanist themes, it was peak. I was too young to understand at the time but I feel like I have nostalgia for this type of of media that I never knew about.

Ah, one of Origin's stranger games. The animation is so awkward, yet still charming. Great video. You're right to note the ethical aspects. IT really feels like a unusual aspect that origin explored more than many other studios.

The cover of Bioforge was deeply etched in my mind as a child. I never played it, never watched a yone play it, but that x-ray alien hand was formative nonetheless.

Made my day seeing this. This game was always like a bit of a fever dream to me. Kinda like your channel in general (which I adore)
