One thing that this video missed is the form factor change.<br><br>The Nintendo Switch deliberately had a big box for the console. It deliberately had rectangular boxes to match home console games. It deliberately aimed for more complex home menu icons.<br><br>It wasn't just because they wanted more visibility on the shelf. It's also because they wanted to market it as a home console.<br><br>Rather than being a handheld console that can play home console games, the Nintendo Switch was marketed as a home console that can be played in handheld. They did not want this to look like a cheap, low budget 3DS. They wanted to make it look better than the Wii U, and they certainly did that right.

DVD cases are only that big because they wanted them to look similar to VHS boxes. Really, you could fit a DVD and or blu ray inside a CD jewel case.

You know what's crazy to me SOME 3Rd parties are SO CHEAP they use code in box instead of key cards on switch 2 I genuinely don't understand

I do think the switch 2 should have changed the size a bit or changed the top of the case like the original Xbox one cases instead of the solid red across the top of all the artwork so you can tell the difference on the shelf. Great video!
