  One of the most harrowing moments in the book for me was the train back to 12 getting delayed as they load &quot;the other tributes&quot; on and Haymitch has to just sit there the whole ride back with his dead friends. Actually sickening to imagine that, especially if you think about how if they hadn&apos;t been &apos;held up&apos; he might have made it home in time to save Ma and Sid...

  Your comment about the Covey names at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nqYXPy63BY&amp;t=797">13:17</a> made me realize: the younger Covey generations all have colorless names (Lenore Dove, Lucy Gray, Maude Ivory) but the older generations we meet in the books have more colorful names (Tam Amber, Barb Azure, Clerk Carmine). And in the books they explain that when the covey were first rounded up, the capitol basically committed a mass slaughter and killed a bunch of them. Maybe the younger generations having less colorful names is a reflection of them losing half their people and being trapped in District 12.

  I don&apos;t know why, but when I read Sunrise, Wyatt&apos;s death hit me so hard. That poor fucking kid; it&apos;s very much implied that he had very little love in his life, from his family or anyone else, and he just. Dies, unceremoniously, in the opening bloodbath, to keep Lou Lou alive- this girl he doesn&apos;t even know who&apos;s just as much of a victim as he is who is being forced to impersonate a girl he does. And Haymitch and Maysilee barely even mourn him, because they can&apos;t. It breaks my fucking heart. These kids will live in my heart forever. I don&apos;t think I&apos;ll ever stop thinking about them.

  One lines that kills me from the book is when Maysilee says she’s never going to see herself grow old (like her grandma) and Haymitch also never sees Maysilee grow old bc Merrilee never makes it past 41 since she dies in the bombing of 12

  Re: gumdrops<br><br>Haymitch mistakes them for the pack he got her on reaping day, thinking she must have dropped them. Lenore assumes he brought her new gumdrops. They don&apos;t discuss it or look at them closely because the emotions of seeing each other are too high, so it isn&apos;t until Haymitch gets a better look that he realizes that these aren&apos;t the ones he bought
