  No one cares if women are exhausted as mothers and wives, but they become "concerned" about women's rest if she's working on her own terms and for herself. It's incredible how much society colludes to exploit women's labor and energy.

  I had a friend who was in a self described abusive neglectful relationship for 7 years. When she finally got out (through the help of many other people) she was alone for a few months and eventually ended up going back to him and getting pregnant. She worked over time to convince everyone that things had changed and this was her dream but when I looked at her I saw exactly what you described. I saw a woman who couldn’t handle the pressure of existing as an individual so she would rather be with an abusive neglectful man than figure out how to be alone in the world.

  As a neurodivergent woman, learning about invisible contracts here in YT with you has genuinely changed the way I see my daily life. I also realized that, although I was legally an adult, I was still emotionally very immature until I started therapy seven years ago.   This explains why I dislike being around most married young women. &nbsp;They expect veneration for their achievements of being a wife and mother and as single women we are repelled by their lack of maturity. &nbsp;Thank you! Watching this a third time now.

  tricking women into remaining &apos;stuck&apos; in their emotional immaturity and child-like states benefits the patriarchal structures massively. maturity means coming into our power, and questioning the status quo. and i know if i had reached greater &apos;maturity&apos; before having kids, i would likely have decided NOT to have them in the first place. this &apos;controversial&apos; take often makes other mothers gasp and clutch their pearls, but it is a reality many refuse to face.

  my mother is one of them! she’s still married to and defending the creep that molested me! they lost our family home in foreclosure bc he can’t stay employed. she’s can’t leave him bc she has no money, no consistent work history and worse of all, zero self esteem. she does everything for him and he resents her to the core. i’m no contact 😅

  Being honest with myself, sometimes I find myself thinking that it&apos;d be easier if I didn&apos;t have to handle my finances on my own and have another income with a man, that we could &quot;grow&quot; our finances like that. As you describe, I start feeling lazy, and I remember how that fantasy puts me in a vulnerable and disadvantageous position and I kind of get over it
