  Both Jimins solo albums were massive in the US and South Korea. It's no surprise that he's still steady on the charts 2 years later. Also, BTS seem to be the most steady overall considering their 4 year hiatus being in the way. Swim is already super close to 1B streams just 6 months after release

  As an American, I wasn’t surprised by Jimin’s performance in the US and in the UK and in other countries, not just for WHO but for all his songs (see charts). He is considered a diamond even if others are touted as most popular globally, results often too based on only one song. <br><br>I hope this series will reveal facts vice AR MY or K-pop tropes which have found to not be true many times. If one is objective and not drinking the “Kool Aid”, then &nbsp;one shouldn’t be surprised at anything AEC has shown or will show — I just hate all the ARMY and other fandom &nbsp;analyses aimed at explaining what are in truth real data and real results as something else, more as one-offs, just because their fav performed differently than expected in certain countries. <br><br>All the members and all the groups should be celebrated not just a few who fandoms have decided must be #1 — thank goodness that the general public and music markets generate the metrics and not only fandoms. If the latter were true, then it’s not music evaluated for merit but by popularity. Ugh.

  I’m primarily Kpop fan. It would be very interesting to do the similar analysis excluding Kpop. Similar to how Billboard has global charts excluding the USA. &nbsp;Very interested to see influences of SE Asian music.

  This is an excellent analysis. These things were surprising to me:<br><br>1. KATSEYE appears to be on a trajectory to overtake BlackPink as the most popular Asian-created girl group in the USA. This may explain BlackPink members&apos; intense focus on establishing solo careers in the USA.<br><br>2. CORTIS is absent from the list.<br><br>3. New Jeans is still a money maker inside the USA. This fact explains the reason ADOR is working so hard to reboot the group with only 4 members. Their group&apos;s stardom is tarnished, but it could shine bright again with a well-orchestrated comeback.<br><br>4. The USA market seems to be overtaken by BTS, but the group is not making inroads to the extreme level their PR makes it seem. BTS, as soloists, are making the most movement in the USA. This means the individual guys could have impressively top-tier careers ahead of them in the USA even if the full group doesn&apos;t remain as active.<br><br>5. The fact that this chart is so Kpop-centric supports the GRAMMY&apos;s desire to introduce other Asian music genres to the USA market. There&apos;s a lot of great Asian-region music that we, in the USA, are not aware of. If this can be accomplished then we, Americans, are going to start hearing and streaming a variety of Asian music. How exciting!<br><br>Thank you for these insights!
