Hi Ella. I am knitting fingerless mittens. Learning how to knit like you did. Knitting, drpping stitches, losing count, starting again. I learned how to do basics 50 years ago. Now its my new obsession. I want to make a jumper one day. I am 79. Hope knitting will keep my brain working. :)

Hi Ella🙋♀️ New subscriber! I would never have thought you hadn’t done a podcast before, so natural. The thing that appealed to me the most was your honesty with the challenges you encountered! Because your finished projects looked so perfect you could easily have not mentioned them. We need more of this realism so newer knitters won’t be put off this wonderful craft - Thank you 🧶🧶🧶

Greetings from Tucson, Arizona where it’s 104 degrees (40 C) today. Congratulations on your video first! I learn so much about fibers in my internet searches and from all of the fiber enthusiasts here on YouTube 🎉 . So after 30 years of knitting only pieces,I just started knitting top down sweaters. I’ve made six ranunculus sweaters with different yarns at different gauges with different modifications and by doing that they take longer because you have to play with all of the yarns for gauge. It’s a very forgiving pattern if you need to adjust it and don’t want to rip it back too. Doing this taught me a lot about top down sweaters .I’m very impressed that you did your first one with color work! Wow!

Congratulations on the fabulous Tania Barley sweater. I cannot believe it was your first adult sweater--color work even--you are amazing! You may have spent a good deal of time frogging and reknitting, but the finished sweater looks wonderful--well done you! So glad I found your podcast. Looking forward to many more lovely sweaters and fun podcasts.

Hi Ella. Love your enthusiasm 😺 and your jersey. Please don’t tell people there are errors in your work -each hand knitted piece is unique with their own special features 😺 I’ve been knitting since my nana taught me when I was a child. Such a great relaxing way to create.
