Thanks for all the effort in this, but there aint no way anyone is making 2400 starts without dipping the tungsten. 🤣🤣

How many starts before you need to prep the tungsten again couldn't matter less to me because I'm gonna dip it after like 5 beads anyway lol

I have an idea. What if you let the torch float in the cnc and use a roller to set the gap that would more closely replicate the way a human controls the gap. It should help to reduce the potential error.

Not a waste of time as you found some flaws with your testing regime - I actually liked the design of the experimental setup.

If anyone is wondering/not sure if they should do Justin's tig classes I can tell from experience that it's 1000% worth it. I welded for the very first time there and flew out from California to Las Vegas. I did the Aluminum first and then Steel/Stainless. I was the only person scheduled so for 8 hours both days I worked with Nate (A teacher in the shop) 1 on 1. Absolutely worth the money and time.

Excellent freaking work!!!! I think you are the only person on Youtube that has done a video like this. This is the kind of welding data that Youtube needs more of.
