Behind the music<br>Jon Bon Jovi said "Wanted Dead or Alive" was inspired by Bob Seger's "Turn the Page." He called it Bon Jovi's anthem. <br><br>Jon Bon Jovi said the song reflects the band's early touring days: "this young band of thieves...rising into town, stealing the money, the girls and the booze, and leaving before the sun came up." <br><br>The "steel horse" in the lyrics is the tour bus, and the "six string on my back" is a guitar. <br><br>Jon Bon Jovi also said the song is about the strain of touring. "Another place, where the faces are so cold…" refers to another arena.
