  Usually I do not comment but for this video I couldn&apos;t stay quiet. I was born in Yugoslavia (Vojvodina province in Serbia, Bachka region) and my grandfather (Croatian origin) was recruited by Hungarian army. I remember like it was yesterday he told me many WW2 stories from his days.. As Croatian minority in Hungarian army he did the worst jobs like transporting wet Danube sand on his back, being constantly bullied by officers. In 1944 he ran away from the squad and wanted to join the Soviets but they put him in a concentration camp as he was wearing the Hungarian uniform. He survived as he spoke Russian, Serbo-croatian and Hungarian so Soviets engaged him as a translator. Wanted to say that the situation in Yugoslavia during WW2 was extremely complicated and it is very hard to understand even for best experts in this subject. This video as it is a pure jewel of knowledge. Thanks Mark!!!

  Me from Bangladesh 🇧🇩 <br>I watch all your videos...... <br>My grandfather took part in World War 2. He was the District Adjutant of the British India Home Guard. He fought against the Japanese on the Burma Front.
