  You won&apos;t believe how surprised I was when I found out that a book I had to read in german class was about this exact story, with a few characters added to make it more interesting.

  Funfact, for anyone wondering about the case (especially the english speakers who aren&apos;t coincidentally fluent in german) -<br><br>There&apos;s a seemingly official german site explaining the details of the murder and why it is highly likely the murderer was Andreas Gruber hisself. As the one slaughtering the pigs, he had a special tool for killing them. Basically a pickaxe, but made specifically so that it would lead to brain-death without shattering the skull of the pig. This would lead to a hole in its skull but leave the brain still usable for food purposes.<br>The murder victims all died due to being hit with such a tool, yet without having their skull crushed. Especially considering how many times they were hit, it must&apos;ve taken a great amount if experience for the murderer not to shatter the skull.<br><br>He had motives too, mainly that he was an absolute arse. He was quite easily angered and known to just go at people with whatever tool available. He was also known to abuse his children. Not giving them food, locking them in, etc, and the neighbours wanted to go to court with that, however they imagined it would only harm the children more considering how easily he got angry and violent. So they didn&apos;t. He also told his daughter Viktoria he&apos;d kill her if she met with boys/men when she wasn&apos;t pregnant. And... Yeah, she was at some point pregnant from him because of course he molested his children. Apparently she once told a Lorenz guy she can be haopy to be pregnant from her father as otherwise she wouldn&apos;t be able to meet him. The reason for why his other daughter was found with her mouth bound shut was because he tried to rape her before murdering her (idk if he succeeded, but she apparently was found half-naked. As she tried to defend herself he ultimately cut her throat with a knife though, so maybe he didn&apos;t succeed. Not like it matters anymore). Him being the murderer hisself also explains why the dog didn&apos;t bark and nothing was stolen. Most obvious of all is that he doesn&apos;t have the same injuries literally every other victim has. <br><br>So now that we have five murder victims why were six found, one of which being the arse himself?<br><br>Remember that all of the corpses were only found four days after the crime. Andreas went about his day, ate what he still had, changed the calendar as usual. Then he just kinda fell on a cross pick, immediately tearing open his arteria carota and bleeding out within a very short amount of time. The calendar showed april first (like it all was just one big joke with his own death) when they found them, so it was just the day after the crime.

  As someone who lives rather close to Hinterkaifeck, it could have been solved if it wasn&apos;t for everyone withholding informations, which leads to the assumption that someone a lot of people knew commited the murders.

  Bavarian here, it´s really pronounced like those other people say: Hint - uh - kayf (kay rhyming with &quot;fly&quot;) - eck (as in Ecuador). <br>And Gruber is like Gru from Despicable me + ber or simply like Hans Gruber from Die Hard. <br>Nice to know someone made a game of this unsolved murder case. Good job digging it up!

  I despise people using clickbaity distorted monsters in thumbnails when the story is about just a guy murdering people. Have a photo of the family as a thumbnail or something

  I was half listening the video as background noise, but as soon as I heard Andreas Gruber I dropped what I was doing and gave the video my undivided attention. The Hinterkaifeck case is a chilling one.
