  I hope Reiko's family never stumbled across that gif, knowing that an image of your murdered loved one was distorted and being spread as a way to scare people would be so painful.  Thank you for tracking down not just her name, but a picture of who she really was in life.  Her smile in the photo at the memorial looks so bright and carefree, she sounds like a wonderful person taken far too soon

  I'm noticing a positive trend recently that youtube videos covering crimes are making more of an effort to focus on the victims more than the killers, because the killers don't deserve notoriety, and the victims deserve to be remembered as the people they were, not just a victim. I really appreciate this.

  This reminds me of that Tomino's Hell story where people used an image with a creepy backstory, but then it turns out the image in question was a cropped art piece by Yuko Tatsushima titled "I can no longer be a bride" which was supposed to be a self portrait of herself after she was sexually assaulted.

  It feels so gross seeing someone take the image of an innocent woman who met a horrible fate and not only use it to mock another woman's misfortune and suffering, but then also manipulate it into some internet horror for people's entertainment. It feels like desecration to me, taking someone's image and memory and turning it into a mockery. Its so disrespectful.

  The extent that Reiko's brother went to in order to find her killer is very respectable. I know that if I were in his situation when he found the bike, I would've just reported it to the people investigating the case, so the fact that not only did he just wait things out, but the fact that it ended up giving the investigation such a crucial lead is wild to me.

  What a true loving brother Reiko had, swore he wouldn‘t eat until the criminal who caused her death was captured. Much sympathy for the brother, mother and Reiko herself. That scumbag of a murderer was just a dog with his tail between his legs when he was captured.

What a delightful place the Internet is.

  Crazy how an uncanny looking gif is having one of the saddest backstories ever. <br>Why would anyone create stuff like that using a picture of a murdered victim..Hope it&apos;s a coincidence but it&apos;s still sad
