I feel familiar with this story. My sister recently sold 30 acres that have been in our family for 160 years. Legally, she can do that, but morally, it was as much mine as it was hers because we both had the same mother who died in possession of the land. She wanted to live there, I didn't. She moved in, I didn't object. Now it's gone. She sold the land for a hundred grand and dropped dead. Nobody knows where the money went.
