  There have been a few in the comment section defending the practice, that this is only fingerprints and not full data, etc. etc. But the industry is acknowledging these screenshots are being linked to the logged in accounts. And we really don&apos;t know if all of them are merely sending &quot;fingerprints&quot; as opposed to full images. If the industry is so certain they are being responsible with our data, prove it. Also re: the reference to India - up until LG&apos;s acquisition of the company, <a href="http://alphonse.tv/">Alphonse.TV</a> was a company based in India.

  The irony that we&apos;re not allowed to capture our content or theirs coming over the HDMI port, oh but for Ads and analytics that&apos;s perfectly fine!

  Remember in the book 1984 they said the screen would be watching &nbsp;you to make sure your watching here we are and they now know what you are watching.

  &quot;pixel samples&quot; is an interesting way of saying &quot;screen shots&quot;.<br>If they take enough of them, they&apos;ll be able to watch what you were watching.

  Four years ago, when I reset all the TVs in my house, disconnecting them from the internet—with only a local network connection—I wondered if I was overreacting. It turns out I did the right thing :D

  Thanks for this info. &nbsp;With many so smart TVs being found in company conference rooms for presentation use... Wonder how many US companies have unknowingly shared company secrets or protected personal, military, or government &nbsp;data without realizing that data was going to a third party (probably overseas).

  Gotta love that they can pull a Darth Vader: &quot;I have altered the deal. Pray I don&apos;t alter it further.&quot;<br><br>Even worse is they can brick TVs years later by making them unusable if you don&apos;t accept the updates terms.
