  Absolutely cannot say enough great things about your "abandoned ghost town" series. There is not another person that tells the history, and researches-even down to the the small facts as well as you do, in my opinion. You have the ability to literally put me back to the booming part of the town in my mind. And that is so amazing. Thank you so much for what you do Brent! You make YouTube so much better!

  Old enough to remember Mercury thermometers, Mercury switch in the rheostats for the heating and cooling inside the house. It was used for all sorts of stuff.

  I'm a lifelong mineral collector.. I have a few amazing specimens from that mine that contain minor crystallized cinnabar with small globules of mercury sprinkled throughout. The Hg content was so high in that ore from that mine, that many miners reported mercury droplets on areas of the mine walls!

  There&apos;s the Coso mercury mine only 33 miles from Cerro Gordo. 65 years ago on a field trip, I recall banging on the retort, and watching a drop of mercury come out. &nbsp;Good luck getting out there now!

  I really appreciate that the ads that you do are extremely relevant.<br>I have had nothing but extremely good luck with all Nito tires.<br>I got nearly 90,000 miles on a set of Nido tires on my 2015 ram 2500 Cummins 4 x 4. &nbsp;<br><br>I’ve never been paid by anyone, but I will certainly back up Nitto

  I first learned about Terlingua due to the now famous chili cookoff started there in the 1960&apos;s in part by Carrol Shelby the car guy. It was talked about in the car magazines of the day. That event was likely an important part of making the town known.
