  Legally, you have the right to fully unsubscribe from emails. If they do not unsubscribe you, threat of litigation is very real.

  I freaking hate those “anti-homeless” benches. They’re in all of my local bus stops, and as a disabled person who is also 4 ft 11, when I’m at the point of literal collapse and barely made it to the bus stop, being greeted by a 15cm wide slope that just hits me in the ass so it’s barely even worth leaning on is absolutely crushing.

  $1800 cleaning fee for a room I’m using for two nights? They do realize that basically means I’m going to dirty every surface so badly they’ll have to renovate the place.

  In Hong Kong there was a cable TV service called i-Cable which was infamous for its meme-level difficulty to unsubscribe the service. Eventually someone snapped, went to the company building then tried to chop people up with a machete, injuring a few employees before being arrested by police.<br><br>It was on the news and people were totally unsurprised by the attack. Even the judge questioned the way the company handled their customers.

  So, fun story involving an asshole design!<br>Y&apos;all remember when Apple decided to remove the chargers from the iPhone box, so you&apos;d need to buy it separately? Yeah, that didn&apos;t happened here in Brazil.<br>Reason? We have a law that prohibits the selling of a product by a company without the power cable or charger that is required for the use of the product, so their chargeless iPhone boxes never went past the legal authorities and they had to add the chargers back into it again.<br>One of the few times our laws actually work and it was glorious.

  And just remember, these are the practices we get with the current regulations most places already have. They&apos;re people in the world who feel that corporations should &quot;regulate&quot; themselves, and the market will sort itself out by doing so. If we already have shady practices like these now, just imagine how much worse it will be if companies were massively deregulated like those people want. Predatory practices will just get a 100 times worse, and every business would be doing it.

I guarantee you the cleaner does not get that money. There’s a separate contract. The owner has with the cleaner or cleaning company, and that fee is going to be in the pocket of the owner same thing with, heavy cleaning fees and room smoking fees. The housekeeper doesn’t usually report on those things unless you’ve done something that makes their job harder and they want to get you charged because the housekeeper won’t see any of that money despite being the one who does the labor.

Facebook used to send me all kinds of dumb ass makeup ads and ads for lesbian dating sites when I had my gender selected as female. The same week I changed it to male, I started getting ads for viagra and sex chat sites and all kinds of BS. They have some of the most inappropriate ads too, despite censoring everything down to your private messages.

  The &quot;lost wallet&quot; ad reminds me of when I was a bartender. &nbsp;Every now and then, we&apos;d get a-hole customers who would leave a tip in our paycheck booklets that made it look like we were getting a $10-$20 tip. &nbsp;You&apos;d get excited, open the booklet, and it&apos;d be one of those religious pamphlets stating something like, &quot;Salvation in the next life in more valuable.&quot; &nbsp;Yeah, great, thanks. &nbsp;You wasted 30 minutes of my life complaining that your martini wasn&apos;t dry enough and the best you could do was no tip + shove your religion onto me while I was at work. &nbsp;You realize these tips is how I pay rent, right?!

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2M7IIBfP2ZI&amp;t=475">7:55</a> In the US, this would be illegal. Blocking people is a legally required feature for any form of product with online social interaction. Limiting the amount of blocks is illegal, as is locking it behind a paywall.
