  This entire ecosystem of cameras everywhere is extremely unhealthy for newer generations that grow up always being watched. I would argue even more unhealthy than social media even. Why?<br>Because it trains kids to always think that some higher authority is watching them and that this is normal. It’s not. Privacy, even in public spaces, shouldn’t be a thing of the past.<br>If we don’t want to live in George Orwell’s novel, we should avoid normalizing its concepts

  Every time I see a new &quot;smart&quot; product I just assume it performs the same as a &quot;dumb&quot; product but it tracks you and sells your data.

  It&apos;s absolutely baffling to me that people don&apos;t understand that your cyber security is only as secure as your weakest device. If you let all these smart devices into your home, then you are introducing <b>more</b> weak links and <b>more</b> exploitable devices.<br><br>Let this be a reminder to change your passwords if you haven&apos;t in a while.

  At this point I&apos;m even looking at fire alarms with suspicion. They&apos;re going to create a whole group of people who deliberately avoid tech at all costs.
