  When I first saw the title Jak X, I legitimately thought that I had missed the release of Jak 4 through 9.

  Jak X is so underrated. And there’ll never be a game that gives me the same feeling again.<br>The nuanced handling of the cars, the aesthetic, the music- it’s so distinct.

  The soundtrack has some great musicians on it:<br>&quot;The score of Combat Racing was primarily composed by Billy Howerdel, with assistance from Dean Menta, Danny Lohner, Eric Bass, Josh Freese, Atom Willard, Joey Castillo, Paz Lenchantin, Troy Van Leeuwen, and Wes Borland. Furthermore, two songs by Queens of the Stone Age are present in the game&apos;s opening, being &quot;A Song for the Dead&quot; and &quot;You Think I Ain&apos;t Worth a Dollar, But I Feel Like a Millionaire&quot;. &quot;

  I should have mentioned this in your last Jak video, but I believe the change in love interests for Jak 3 might have been a result of voice casting issues. For whatever reason, the previous VA of Keira, Anna Garduno, did not reprise her role as Keira in Jak 3 or Jak X. She was replaced by Tara Strong, a common voice actress with literally hundreds of roles. <br><br><br><br>My theory is, given how little Keira speaks in Jak 3, how she is oddly mute when first meeting with Jak while Samos talks his mouth off, that Naughty Dog didn&apos;t have a voice actor for Keira. I think Naughty Dog didn&apos;t have a voice actor for Keira until near the end of production, which necessitated the change in love interests. Remember, they only had a year to pump out Jak 3, there wasn&apos;t much time to recast Keira at all. It&apos;s possible Naughty Dog were afraid they wouldn&apos;t find a good new VA for Keira, or perhaps the former actress was stuck in pricing negotiation for a while before backing out. Regardless, Keira is too mute and too small of a figure in Jak 3 for me to believe it was all intentional. It doesn&apos;t feel like an intentional artistic decision, especially when they went back on it in Jak X. It smells of backroom issues to me.

  I remember being so disappointed that Jak X was a racing game, not another traditional Jak. But yeah, Jak X is great.
