  The reason that woman screamed is because just for a moment she looked directly into his eyes and he looked into hers, and that was the last sound she ever made before she, too, became tree.

  the sort of energy it takes to stay completely focused when a woman screams in your face because your gaze was so intense is insane.  i dont know which side of it i like more, that the woman was so scared at just his stare she involuntarily screamed at someone she already knew was there or that it did not phase william AT ALL
