The John Lynch book "Altissimo Trumpet " is similar but more methodical.

Yeah pretty interesting. I got to double C using Claude Gordon method (with a Claude teacher). You use the same embouchure for everything there. I could play 5 octaves in one breath/setting. It took a couple of years to get there after years of playing before that. I played lead in commercial/ska settings and regularly had to perform double Gs live at the highest (usually F# due to the keys guitar players like to play in). I recorded a bunch in that range too, so it was quite reliable. Now I'm coming back after 5 years off. I still have an F above high C in my first week back.

Whilst I wish I could play in the high register, my priority is the production of a big, rich sound  and most importantly a warm sound that the audience actually likes. Some people find ultra high trumpet playing irritating and headache-inducing. I remember my dad playing recordings of various high note stars on his record player and the rest of the family begging him to turn it off. Give me Chet any time!

So I knew about this book early in my trumpet playing but never knew what it was because you know… broke kid, couldn’t buy it lol. I get halfway through college and Clark Terry shows us the “tuck and roll” and I discovered I could do this up as high as I wanted just about. My face was already so strong from the low gear setting that discovering the high gear was like wtf lol. Now o just use high gear all the time but my range has gone down I guess because I’m now 42 and don’t use the low gear anymore that kept it strong. No idea. If I had this book I may have been a better lead player but I’m decent now lol

It would help if you make your picture smaller. I like to read it myself, rather than hear someone else read it. But, yeah, well-explained. TFS
