  Jon Provost  was sheriff in Ghost town when I visited in the late 60’s . He was Timmy on Lassie. I met him in person and got my picture with him.

  In my childhood, we went to Ghost Town, during the 60"s and the 70"s, about 10 times. Always enjoyed it.

  I went to Dogpatch USA in maybe 90-91 as a kid on our vacation road trip. From what I remember it was absolutely beautiful. You had to ride in on some kind of mine like train. I also went to Jazzland prior to Six Flags purchasing it. So much Nostalgia ❤

  My family visited Ghost Town in the Sky sometime around 1975. I recall us having a good day.<br>Another abandoned amusement park is &quot;Land of Oz.&quot; It&apos;s located near Boone, NC. Several structures are still there and it&apos;s &quot;yellow brick road.&quot; It has become a popular destination in the autumn, with the colors of the Appalachian mtns. My family went there around 1974.

  Here’s one; W. Parker Lyon’s Pony Express Museum. The world’s largest collection of old western artifacts, over a million items from chamber pots to firearms, horse drawn vehicles and even a narrow gauge train. It was located across the street from Santa Anita Race Track in Arcadia, Ca. where the city park is now. It closed in 1955 and everything in it ended up being auctioned off. I remember being there when I was 5 years old.
