Landed job #3 thanks to you, Andy! This stuff is gold. Toughest job market I’ve ever seen and I’ve been through the Great Recession and Covid. Godspeed, everyone.

This framing is so underrated. Most job seekers list skills but never connect them to actual outcomes — Teal's research shows that resume bullets with measurable results get 2–3x more callbacks. Selling value over skills works in the resume too, not just the interview.

The new workforce is going to experience a worse 2008 recession due to years of experience requirement just like the current employed demographic did when they came of age in this time.

The struggling to show them value happened to me literally today. And it caught me off guard. Severely. The CEO turned to me at the end of the meeting and literally said, “I don’t have confidence that you could execute on what we need.”

I felt off balance the whole time and know a lot of it was because of me but I’m also wondering if they weren’t the right fit either…

So helpful, thank you very much! For the CAAR technique how do you tell a story where you don't have data and figures so much as you easily suggest stories with this but if you are in HR and your role is to support a manager to manage a people issue where it either leads to some formal action like a warning or termination of employment how do you start with the result because the manager comes to HR when they have managed the issue to a certain point then they need help?

How do you convince them that their problems are stiffer and much more difficult than they think they are without sounding like an ass?

I am applying for a senior advisor role to a first deputy commissioner at a city government agency. Can I use your approach for such an interview?

Hello Andy! How important do you think graduate degrees are, specifically MBAs? I’m not sure if it will help me get management roles. I feel my response rate for job applications has been low and I’m not sure if it may help
