  Your niece demonstrated that she was a<br>kind, caring and compassionate soul,<br>who made time for you , her aunt , after<br>serious cardiovascular surgery. None of <br>your children were considerate enough to<br>accord you similar decency. There is <br>absolutely no excuse for that. <br><br>You absolutely made the right decision <br>to amend your will and leave the <br>mountain cabin and property to your<br>niece, She more than earned that , by <br>staying with you and taking care of you<br>for several days post surgery.<br><br>Amazing that all three of your adult<br>children, already had plans about using<br>the property, without asking you first, <br>One can only imagine their reactions <br>after hearing what your attorney had to<br>say. &nbsp;Glad that you were firm about who<br>would finally get the mountain property<br>and cabin. &nbsp;Your niece will be shocked<br>and delighted, when you inform her of<br>this in the spring. &nbsp;Your children will<br>have to accept what you did, whether <br>they agree with it or not!

  They showed up expecting the keys… not realizing the real move had already been made long before they arrived. Funny how entitlement collapses the moment paperwork speaks louder than words.

  OP is a lady with backbone. &nbsp;She stands her ground against her children. They acted entitled to her property. When OP needed heart valve surgery, not a one of them had time to be there for her. Only her niece, Claire, made herself available for a week. &nbsp;She had been at the hospital during the surgery. She waited 6 hours in the waiting room. KARMA wasn&apos;t kind to her kids. They were upset at the results. The end of the story is very intriguing. &nbsp;All families can learn a lifelesson from this eye-opening story. Listening from Nevada USA 🇺🇸

  Isn&apos;t it amazing how everybody had time all of a sudden since it benefits them!? Their mother is a kind woman to leave them anything at all. Thank goodness she had the foresight to protect her property. They would have wanted instant satisfaction and would have sold their father&apos;s legacy without a second thought. Well played!

  I feared 3 children alone, working 2 &amp; 3 jobs to support them, now in the latter years, they address their &quot;other&quot; family with respect and honor, &nbsp;have done so for years, and when I have politely questioned that, I was told, &quot;it&apos;s in the past, it was just money &nbsp;and the worst, &quot; you&apos;re just jealous of Dzd &quot;. All of this leaves a big ball of hurt and disappointment. &nbsp;I have helped them in spite of being put on the bottom of the respect list. &nbsp;It will not change anything, but I know I&apos;ve done the right thing.

  Children are callous toward mother. Husband had passed away. Husband built cabin on property he had purchased. Son Richard was transactional. Patrice went through a divorce. Becky has two kids, but rarely sees mom. Mother was buying her kids connection. Mother developed a heart condition before her operation. Niece showed up when mom&apos;s heart valve was replaced. Mother recovered after 3-months. Have seen this story before. Will, POA and mountain property moved to Claire as beneficiary. Richard called about mountain property and listing it. Then Patrice and Becky called about mountain property as a resource. Attorney Howard asked to call in. Howard explained the cabin and property were in a revocable trust with Claire as beneficiary. Mom mentioned the heart surgery. Richard apologized for not coming. Mom realized that transactions don&apos;t lead to love.
