I deadhead my cornflowers in my garden and leave it as mulch/cover over summer. Seems to work really well, and the seed heads being left there means free cornflowers ❤

Such amazing advice! thank you. I am a SAHM of four and starting a flower farm this year. Currently our field is ALL alfalfa which make fantastic mulch so I am keeping a large patch of it for mulching. This year will be interesting since I am growing a lot of perennials that will be productive next year and we moved to a very different climate, the climate we used to live is they are all having daffodills and tulips and mine are just now popping up out of the ground since it's much colder here especially at night. We live in a college town so bouquets for graduation is such a great idea!
