  I appreciate you.  The garden is an anchor for my soul.  At 67 years old, I am simplifying things.  More perennials.  Less annuals.  And now that I own five chickens, I am able to use the dirt in the run to fertilize beds.  No more store bought mulch.  I use pine needles, pine shavings, and what I have.  My only regret is not discovering the mental health benefits until I retired from health care in a hospital setting.

  You are my favorite You Tuber. Because of you I decided to grow cut flowers. I am 61 years old and will be retiring from nursing next year and I have significantly cut my hours this year. I am having so much fun. I want to sell my flowers as extra income, and you have given me hope that it will be possible. Thank you Danielle for your videos. Tell Gracie hello for me 😊

I feel like I’ve walked with you a little bit over the several years that I’ve known you concerning the flower stand and I’m so happy to see that you’re at peace with the setup now!   That was great. I am on year five of selling flowers at a farmstand on our 3 acres very close to town. I rarely need cooling because of our unique Redwood friendly fog but other than that I feel your experiences. Each stand has its funny things. When I finally saw the wandering man remove the flowers and drink the water, I VERY NICELY asked him to stop, and now I leave a glass of water out for him. The tree frogs that climb into the cash box each night are reluctant to leave but I show them the ponds. Two people this year have said when they moved to Arcata they sent home photos of my stand to LA and San Francisco and felt my flowers were welcoming them. My sales are going up each year but it mostly pays for things like an electric wheelbarrow ( I am almost 80 ) and multiple hori hori knives along with every new flower I want to try.

  I appreciate Danielle how you set up your garden. &nbsp;We took your inspiration of having the cut flowers throughout your garden and it worked for us better than rows and rows of flowers. &nbsp;We enjoyed walking throughout the garden and cutting several types of fillers, greens, flowers etc..... So you&apos;re a great inspiration!

  Somehow, I found your channel. &nbsp; Now I am addicted with what you do. I have 2.5 lots with 17 flowerbeds that were pretty much on their own. Now I am fussing over them and drawing out what I want them to look like next summer. As a 75 over wieght iowan women, this is exactly what I need. Thank you .
