I retired December last year at 64. I have had company vans/cars since i was 17. So have saved loads. But when i retired i did not buy a car for myself. £50k for the car + £2K per year running cost gets me a lot of taxis. I don't mind spending, i have just booked a three week holiday to Sydney Australia, first class on Emirates.
