  Scarlet's intro is still one of the best boss intros of all time. For me it's the bit where he asks for forgiveness. She cradles him for a moment like a doll, and for a split-second seems almost benevolent, then EATS HIS HEAD?? It's so fantastically brutal and spiteful. Absolute cinema

  It seemed to me that Pyramid Head was thrown in very late in development. The contraption Alex's father was in was clearly designed to tear him apart, but instead Pyramid Head comes along and slices him in half.

  The reason why you find nurses in the hotel is because there was elderly man who was dying. You can find a delivery notice from the hospital there. There was some love triangle going on. Fun fact the nurses you find at the hotel seem to be more aggressive than other nurses you find in the game.

  Remember Tom Hulett did everything in his power to keep Pyramid Head out of this game and did his best to salvage a story out of the corporate meddling of Konami. He received a lot of undeserved blame for this game before Konami was exposed for being the monster that they were. A lot of the action aspects were forced due to Resident Evil adopting them and selling like hot cakes. Just here to remind people of that.

The one being strangled (Judge Holloway’s daughter) the one being thrown in the hole (Mayor’s son) etc.

  Honestly keeping Alex a soldier makes more sense than any explanation the game gave. Also feel making Alex his brother’s killer borrows too much from silent hill 2 in a sense. Instead his father killing Josh in desperation as a sacrifice because Alex ran away to join the military would make for a more tragic scenario. <br><br>As a result, pyramid head should be replaced by a manifestation of Josh’s anger towards his brother and father. Later twisted further by Alex’s guilt when he finds out why Josh was killed. Probably make a final encounter just before you get the choice on how to handle his parents. <br><br>There’s a lot of missed potential with the story.
