Nobody was hotter in pop music in the 2nd half of the 1970s than The BeeGees, the disco era

Who else thinks of the beginning of
"Saturday Night Fever" when they hear this?

Years ago I did CPR training and we used Staying Alive for providing the perfect tempo for chest compressions ❤

NEARLY 50 YEARS AGO — AND IT STILL HITS HARDER THAN EVER.

The greatest year in modern music history. Bell-bottoms. Long, flowy hair. Stylish 27" pants (Barry's words, not mine). Cowboy boots. A science fiction jacket straight out of Star Wars.
Barry Gibb had one mission walking down those streets: "make the girls crazy." - Mission. Accomplished.🔥😆
This wasn't just a song — it was a cultural earthquake. The fifth best-selling single of ALL TIME. The undisputed #1 song of the decade. A track that rewired what popular music could even be.
Half a century later and it still makes you want to fix your collar, walk in slow motion, and pretend the sidewalk is a runway. 🎶🔥Drop a 🕺 and literally safe lifes, because it is the #1 CPR Song.😎

I got to go to a Teens Disco when I was 15 years old in the 1970's and they played a lot of Bee Gees.
I have to admit they were very good, So i have danced and listen to them back then.
I had a suit like John Travolta's in the movie Staying Alive (1983). I even had a pair of 4" Platform Shoes
I was getting more interested in Girls at that time.
Great song and Artist.

Iconic song that makes you move every time. But not taking about dance at all. Was talking about actual survival.

Inspired by a trip they made to New York in the 70s during Son of Sam (serial killer), and all the struggles they witnessed.

You would enjoy their 1993 acoustic medley from MYV that includes Blue Island.
