  &quot;was the sacrifice necessary?&quot;<br>there&apos;s an achievement called the good ending.<br>me and my brother played this and we stood in that fucking hallway for at least an hour trying to figure out how to get the good ending. we discovered that you can douse the torches in the hallway so we thought that the marionette, being in a pretty dark room, may only like the dark. so we doused the torches and stood by the gate expecting the marionette to come chasing after us and maybe press down the button on it&apos;s way just long enough for us to escape. then, when nothing happened, we played through the game many times over, looking for what little thing we needed to do differently to unlock the ending where we both survived. eventually we took to the internet to try and get a hint. then we learnt that to get the achievement you need to pull the red lever a bunch of times really quickly. we did so and some confetti burst out of the lever and a party toy sound played.<br>that was it.<br>there is no good ending.<br>yes, the sacrifice was necessary.<br>the bastards

  I love how the devs clearly intended that last part to be a difficult choice with lots of depth, and Cyanide just immediately bails on Womble
