His two-year-old daughter was in the car and was not hurt. Henry Tenon was arrested in January 2023, pleaded guilty in March 2023, and withdrew his plea in February 2026. Mario Fernandez Saldana was arrested on March 16, 2023. Shanna Gardner was arrested in West Richland, Washington, on August 17, 2023. On August 26, 2026, a Duval County jury found Fernandez Saldana guilty of first-degree murder and solicitation to commit a capital felony; he faces a mandatory life sentence. Shanna Gardner and Henry Tenon have pleaded not guilty, are scheduled to be tried together in 2027, and are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
