  Less chance of collecting leaves inside. &nbsp;Otherwise, less important than the shape of the Outdoor Unit is the cooling fin area. &nbsp;I think the reason for the rectangular shape is more to house the more complicated controls of an inverter-drive than an old skool on-off compressor. &nbsp;I like that my side discharge heatpump takes up less ground space and all sits under the wide eaves of my 1-story house so better protected from the elements.

  Why in the world am I sucked in to watching a tutorial video about installing an ac unit when i plan on NEVER doing this myself? &nbsp; I could not stop watching this!! &nbsp;Very informative.

  Hey man, great video! &nbsp;don’t hook up your micron gauge with it being upside down or located lower than the rest of the refrigerant loop. &nbsp;You end up getting refrigerant oil in your micron gauges sensor causing it to read weird like yours was doing. &nbsp;I was having that exact same problem. &nbsp;What I started doing was to hook up a vacuum rated hose to your micron gauge then hang the micron gauge up above the condenser with the meter hanging upright. &nbsp;Once I started doing that it kept me from getting oil in the sensor all of the time. &nbsp;Rubbing Alcohol does help get it working again

  I literally just installed this exact same unit a week ago! Working great! HOWEVER, I hooked it up as dual stage! &nbsp;I had a Trane 90% furnace that is 27 years old but still works! Kept that and installed this. &nbsp;I ended up tapping S1 to my 2nd fastest tap of the blower motor, installed a relay and then did S2 to my fastest tap (second fastest is at 85%-ish). &nbsp;So much better temp throughout the house. &nbsp;I also just ordered an 18,000 BTU mini-split for the garage. Well worth the tool purchase. &nbsp;That&apos;s my salary after all! Thanks man! Totally did everything through your videos!

  BDP just called and they we made horizontal and 45 degree discharge AC condensers back in the 1980&apos;s.

  Thanks to you and this channel, I (myself) removed my old system and installed a 4 Ton ACiQ Extreme Heat pump system in my 53 year old house this past June. &nbsp;The air handler/heater was original equipment (Crane), never been changed😂. &nbsp;I did all the grunt work, removed old air handler/heater, fabricated fresh air return box, installed and connected new air handler and all ductwork(your video&apos;s priceless), poured 4&quot; concrete pad, set new condenser on sumo risers and contracted a Master HVAC Technician to do the skilled connecting.......we are amazed with the system. &nbsp;It was easy to realize the original HVAC system was 53 years old😂. &nbsp;We ended up with a 20k high efficiency HVAC system for 9K and paid the Master Technician $300 hr and he didn&apos;t have to supply anything. &nbsp;He offered me a job and said he has never seen such a good air handler install. &nbsp;Thank You Again......I could not have saved so much money without your help. &nbsp;I am 65 years old trying to survive on less than 1k a month SS🙏.

  Get yourself a Vevor Crowfoot Set for $35 and stop guessing if you&apos;re over torquing it and pulling the threads :)
