  I feel like they should educate women  during her pregnancy that this is something that could happen, so it's not so scary when it happens.

  My male gyno told me I have a prolapsed bladder. Instead of telling me ways to correct it, he told me it’s because I’ve “had kids”, I’m “old” and that “women have dealt with this for millions of years. It’s a part of female life.” And that was that. &nbsp;🙄<br><br>I’m quite confident that 1) he doesn’t care about actually helping &amp; 2) he isn’t trained. He doesn’t have a clue how to fix it.

  My doctor was very reassuring and said it it doesn&apos;t interfere with my quality of life, not to worry. He gave me a referral to a pelvic floor physical therapist and it is very helpful. A huge weight was lifted after my visit with him.

  Sometimes providers don’t care, even when you tell them the problem. It’s very rare to find a doctor who truly cares about your condition.

  I’m 58 and I had prolapse surgery last year. &nbsp;Mine was stage three. &nbsp;It started in my 40s but I didn’t know what it was until my bladder started falling out of my vagina. &nbsp;Best thing I ever did was have surgery. &nbsp; I felt like a freak with the prolapse. &nbsp;It was so nice to feel like my body was back to working properly.

  Trying to make an informed decision about all these prolapse scenarios just feels like gambling. There seems to be so many unsuccessful surgeries, not to mention the horrific risks involved! &nbsp;This is a nightmare!

  I had my only child at age 42. &nbsp;Six months later my uterus prolapsed, and I had a hysterectomy. &nbsp;My bladder started to prolapse and eventually I had a bladder pinning at age 57, at which time I was told no more lifting (I am an RN) and if my bladder prolapsed again it could not be re operated on because they had difficulty in attatching the bladder before. &nbsp;It prolapsed within a few months. &nbsp;I am now 68 and have much trouble with bladder and bowel issues. &nbsp;I dread getting older as I know how hard it is for women with my problems.
