  I’m fucking sick and tired of Bl romanticizing literal RAPE and to see people, loving Manhwa like this and then to see nothing wrong with it fills me with pure RAGE. I hate bad depictions/representation of rape.

  the nonchalant way that the literal RAPE of a man is treated in this webtoon infuriates me. rape is LITERAL TORTURE. how is the torture of a man a good way to advance a romance plot in any way, shape, or form? this artist sucks at writing, and they should honestly be ashamed for thinking a story like this is okay. not only is this thoroughly disgusting, it’s not even for a SEMI good story, LIKE AT ALL. i hate how normalized this trope is in the BL community, it’s a barely disguised fetishization of gay men. not to mention the whole “stockholm syndrome” thing that they make pinata dude have to try and excuse the lazy and terribly ignorant writing?<br>i encourage everyone to read “The Kite Runner”, it’s a story of an Afghan man’s recounting of his childhood best friend and how his cowardice led to him not telling anyone of how his best friend was raped. the rapist is a boy their age, who terrorizes other kids, and then grows up and comes back at the end of the story and challenges the main character to a fight to the death, AFTER the assaulter is revealed to have taken his first victim (the protagonist’s childhood best friend)’s son and did the same thing to him as his father, and also enslaved him. the abused son also tries to end his own life. that is just the tip of the iceberg, and not even the main plot of the story. i beg yall to read it because the main focus is the protag’s afghan heritage, war, immigration, and friendships
