After 25k Miles, here's what I wish I'd know before buying my Tesla Model Y Juniper

  Originally bought the RWD about a year ago and loved it, wife did too, so much that when she looked for a new car in September she actually wanted one, I’d had buyer’s remorse at not getting the AWD… so with some doe eyed negotiations I got her to have mine and I bought the AWD in December. &nbsp;Until my original Juniper arrived she was a total petrol head, this car turned her the first time she drove it. We love both &nbsp;cars, even though they look identical it’s easy to spot who’s is who’s, hers is always shiny and new whereas mine tends to look like it works on a farm .. I’ve never really cleaned my cars very much.<br><br>My only concern is about what we do when we change them in a few years, as Elon says, they are no longer a car company… just keeping my fingers crossed they are and there is a Tesla I’d like as much then.<br><br>Chatted to a mate at a BBQ recently who’s just bought a BMW EV, after looking at mine and finding out about the range, non existent servicing and charging network he now wishes he’d Just Got A Tesla, he’d followed the “nasty Elon cult”… I’m still smug about it 😎<br><br>I am a bit pissed about the high road tax, but to be honest I’m more annoyed at the desperate tax grab attitude of “who do we tax to death to pay the Benefits Bill” than the actual amount … but hay ho .. the pleasure I get from driving it more than out ways this.<br><br>Sorry, feels like am writing a small novel here, all in all, I’m still so glad I “Just got a (2) Tesla(s)”<br><br>Cheers Ian 😊

  Well I just went and got a Tesla!! Picked it up today at Longbridge. Was stuck in all the registration hell and other delays so 6 months from order to collection but man, driving today that is now all forgotten . What a car.<br>I only got the RWD LR premium on business lease and bought this for the lower taxes etc.<br><br>I am simply amazed by this machine.<br><br>Ian, thanks mate, since January I have watched nearly all your videos. You are not wrong! Just get a Tesla.<br><br>Ps stealth grey , for me the best. Colour, equally the most popular

  Had a testdrive of Model Y Standard yesterday here in Barcelona. Amazing car, ideal for me from a practical standpoint BUT somehow I feel like I don’t want it. I don’t want to drive it again. I remember, around 6 years ago I testdrove Volvo V60, and that was amazing, I’m still in love with that experience. <br>So you being attracted by a different car - I think I understand the point

  I totally agree about the Model S. I had one for a short time but my wife couldn’t drive it so we downsized to another EV. I still rate the S as the best car I have ever owned, even if it did have a vertical screen.

  Ian, I totally agree with you about the Model S (I think it was/is called Sky Blue💙) but cost wise, the Quicksilver Model 3 RWDLR is the one for me.

  I think the black headliner looks amazing, I don&apos;t think it looks too dark whatsoever!<br>And you&apos;ll probably not see stains as much!

  The color of the car is not entirely subjective. &nbsp;Colors like red, yellow and orange are highly visible and thus more safe. &nbsp;Black cars blend into night, white into snow, green into plants, blue into the sky, etc.

  Have a model 3 highland absolutely love it agree regarding gear selection it’s fine 95% of the time but when you want to do a quick u turn in a rush it’s a massive faff using the screen. Also agree regarding wipers. My dad may be buying a 2018 model s next week some amazing deals out there he has a Ioniq 5 and hates it. He’s always wanted a model s
