This is crucial for all Tesla campers staying in public places: You must lock the car using the small lock icon on the center display—NOT via your phone. Otherwise, the Tesla will unlock the doors if someone pulls the exterior handle (since the phone key is nearby).

Car camping is probably the most fascinating and fun thing I did in my 20s! If you fit into your car - go car camping! Doesn’t need to be a Tesla!

Am I the only one wondering why he keep all the doors open while he is preparing the bed? He said that he must hurry because it started to snow, and he don’t like to have all that snow inside the car 😂

The day a car can safely drive all night long autonomously while you sleep, and still have usable range in the morning, will be quite cool. No more worrying about where you're parking overnight.

Just slept overnight in +13 c weather with my 10 year old son- battery usage for about 11 hours - 8% in the Model Y performance.

My wife and 9 month old baby slept in model y while I slept in a tent. It was wonderful for them. Its my dream to do a solo cross country road trip sleeping only in my Tesla.

I bought blackout shades from Amazon, and they help with privacy (and insulation).
