What do you think of Stephen Colbert co-writing the new LOTR movie?

It's a crime Andy Serkis never got an Oscar for his role in this movie.

The movies were made at the exact right time in history. The technology had just caught up to what they needed to tell the story the right way. The cast was perfect. The music was just beautiful. I just can't see anything like it ever being done again. Like another person said, truly lightning in a bottle.

25 years on and the special effects in LOTR 2003 look better than many movies made today

The amount of times a child's words have changed an adult's mind for the better are underrated!

I genuinely don’t think they won enough awards. Best trilogy of all time, and I doubt it will ever be topped. It is, without a doubt, a one-of-a-kind production. It’s a passion project from top to bottom, every single person involved nailed it. They truly captured lightning in a bottle.

Literally every single person who worked on these productions in their entirety, in any way, shape or form, is my hero. Truly extraordinary work.

i think one thing Peter Jackson did that made his movies so successful was being open asking others for advice for the films, getting someone who has read the books once a year is so smart to do, something Disney and HBO should learn from.

When I was a kid, I was always trying to figure out how to make the 'gollum' sound like a natural sound rather than a word, and I could never figure it out. The second he said 'cat throwing up a hairball' I immediately got it lol
