  Despite the british voice cracks, I loved how this video didn't just describe how the transformer itself works, but also how the less-known systems, such as the cooling and wiring, are also explained as well.

  The on-load tap changer was probably the most interesting part for me. It's fascinating that the transformer can continuously adjust its voltage ratio while remaining connected to the grid.

  I&apos;m an electronics tech and have been for over 40 years. In my younger days, I was an electrician as well so, I would say I&apos;m well versed in electricity and it&apos;s associated devices however, when it come to it&apos;s generation and transformation, I had a basic understanding. In an overview of this video, I didn&apos;t learn anything new but in the intricate details, I certainly did especially in the details of how these transformers are put together and the intricate tap switching mechanism. <br><br>The purpose in me saying all this is, being I work in the electrical industry, I would have learned a lot of this in the course of my career, but for someone who learns all of this cold, as a subject to do a video about is extremely impressive. I wanted to shed light upon the massive undertaking in time and attention it took to research and understand these details and then to take that information and create this amazing 3D production. My hat is off to you for your level attention that had to have taken tens, if not hundreds of hours to understand and put together in the making this video. Most do not stop to think about the time and focused concentration it takes to put a video like this together. I thoroughly enjoyed watching and learning and I truly respect your hard work. Thank you for then sharing what was most likely weeks of work into a well condensed, 20 minute, 3D video for me to view.

  Thank you for explaining the tap selector perfectly. I&apos;ve always wondered how it actually performs and handles the load switch off without arcing! &nbsp;Very easy to understand now.

  I&apos;v been servicing and installing transvormers for 2 years now (up to 400kv) yes we open transformers at our workplace in finland up to 110kv transformers and even filter out the oil. this video really well explains and I still learned more for example about how the tap changer step resistors work.

  This is a phenomenally well produced video in every way...the animations, its overall pacing, explanation/narrative...the whole 9 yards. Excellent job. Thanks for sharing, I learnt quite a bit especially on the OLTC and cooling systems.
