I'd love to see Tywin's mistakes! He's been glazed far too much because of the show and while there's been good work down to dismantle that I think a video compiling it all would be really good.

Ned it is a surprisingly competent hand, and Could’ve succeeded if he wasn’t for Cersei’s master plan of:
1. Get the big guy who is always drunk more drunk
2. ?????
3. Profit

12:43 Ned isn't great at politics, but he's a strong administrator. His problem was that playing the Game of Thrones was more about politicking than administering.

Small note is that in Arya 3 Ned completely dismisses what Arya overheard thinking it was just her imagination or something. In the show he is not so dismissive

Above all else, Ned valued the lives of children, even cruel children like Joffrey. It's what killed him, and why the North will rally behind his own children.

I think Ned's decision to warn Cersei makes even more sense if you consider that it's not just Elia that's on his mind, but Lyanna as well. He frequently thinks of her in his chapters. Ned has been shielding a child from Robert's wrath for fourteen years at this point, and that's Jon. The whole reason he has pretended that Jon is his bastard is his fear that Robert would have him killed if he learned that Jon is Lyanna's son by Rhaegar. This fear seemingly gets confirmed when Ned sees the hatred Robert has for Daenerys, a thirteen year old girl, and her unborn baby.
He warns Cersei because he is haunted by the ghosts of two women - Elia and Lyanna - who were never given the chance to protect themselves or their children, so he wants to give Cersei the opportunity to flee and spare them that fate. And he isn't entirely wrong - Cersei is incredibly protective of her children. His key mistake is assuming she will protect them by fleeing out of Robert's reach. He doesn't know her well enough to know that Cersei considers offense the best defense and will move to take out the people who threaten her children (robert and ned) rather than running away from them.

Heres a fun one. Every time joffrey was CORRECT. Not every time he was wrong. Every time he made a correct move (much shorter video than every wrong move)

If only Ned knew the Way of the Voice so he could shout the boy king to death

I think Ned's biggest problem is that he seems to be oblivious to self interest.
He seems to think that people will always do the right thing because they swore some oath but he doesn't seems to realise that people tend to have their own interests and ambitions.
