You know Pente I don't think the fandom really talks enough about Qui-Gon Jinn's faults. You're absolutely right about his blind spots and how he himself I think would have explored and endeavored to change them. The fandom does put him on a pedestal 100%. I'm glad that he found it within himself to still continue to free the people of Tatooine regardless of an inability to make amends with Anakin in that portion of the story.

However the part of the story I really like the most was how Anakin got his mother's freedom. It felt very true to him. I like that the merchant that gave him a fair price for it and knew to make sure the kid didn't immediately get ripped off because it would be a bad look for business on his part. Also just because you're out in Hutt territory doesn't mean you always have to be scum. The entire journey of them buying their own starship, settling on Lothal and even his mom homeschooling him in the ways of the force was all very nice. Lucia on the added to that but my favorite part of the story was the bit with Anakin and his mother starting their new life. Overall love the what if.

Selling the lightsaber to free Shmi is very Jedi. One doesn't have to be a Jedi to live the philosophy.
Even Jedi like Qui-Gon aren't perfect. Just because you do your best to follow the will of the Force doesn’t mean you can't make mistakes, nor does it mean you're immune to hubris, and its temptation is always present.

A Star Wars what if, what if the Force doesn't had light or dark side but rather it is just a Force, a Force? A basic abilities with no pros or cons, just a ability?

What if Anakin took Ahsoka's blame for the Temple Bombing (Anakin unable to find the culprit, he decides to take the blame, with that he goes on sight to the courts on how he did it. Of course since Anakin is the golden boy of the war, Anakin needs to destroy that image so he admits he killed the Tusken Raiders, women and children included and that the only one he told was Palpatine. Palpatine confirms the story because if he denies it, then well Anakin will never ever trust him.)

I really like this. This seems more like Anakin than the prequels, the anakin we know in the clone wars would never have left his mother, the people he loves.

I think you did a great job making this video and showing how Qui-Gon wasn't so different from the other jedi despite having good intentions. I think this story really worked out for the best though with Anakin selling the lightsaber and freeing both himself and his mother. Looking forward to the next one!

I always love these stories that focus on just 2 characters (Anakin and Shmi). the Qui Gon and Dooku parts were also good

I like that you chose to give Qui Gon a realitycheck and that you created a nice Guide for Anakin.
I'd like to see something where most if not all your original Characters get the spotlight.

Why does it feel like the thumbnail doesn’t match the actual What If
