It is likely that the M2 Browning will remain in military service for another 50 years, and it is possible that the Space Force may incorporate it into combat operations.

Yes, Green adapted it AFTER Browning died. The basic mechanism is still Browning's regardless as to who completed it. The gun is still on duty because it works and is STILL a very powerful weapon.
