  Beavers should never be treated a pests. &nbsp;It should be illegal to interfere with a beaver, period. &nbsp;If they flood a farmers field, the famer should move. &nbsp;The beavers do much more good than harm. &nbsp;To wit:<br><br>Here are just the benefits to humans: &nbsp;The impacted farmer&apos;s neighbors benefit from the fire break that the wetland around the beaver pond create. &nbsp;Down stream, the leaky dam irrigates the vegetation and makes it resistant to airborne wildfire embers. &nbsp;The ponds replenish the acquifer that his neighbors use to get water. &nbsp;Anyone whose neighbor takes out a beaver dam is damaging or exposing them to risk and high insurance costs and has the right to sue. &nbsp;Make them think twice the next time they want to take out a beaver dam.<br><br>As for the natural environment, the pond is a year round watering whole for all kinds of fauna, and the wetlands are a safe refuge when wildfires pass thru. &nbsp;After the wildfire, the greenery that was saved helps with the reseeding of adjacent burnt areas.<br><br>Beavers must be a protected species. &nbsp;Don&apos;t &quot;like&quot; beaver dam removal videos.

  I&apos;ve got a beaver in my small pond in western Oregon and he/she will run out of willows to eat soon. I&apos;d like to relocate it to a better place. Anybody need a beaver? &nbsp;Cheers, Scott
